Posted on: Tuesday, 10 January 2006, 12:00 CST

SUPERIOR, Colo., Jan. 10 /PRNewswire/ -- Newmerix Corp., a provider of automated testing and change management software for packaged applications, announced today that it has closed a successful $5 million follow-on Series B financing round, led by Siemens Venture Capital GmbH. Existing investors Mobius Venture Capital and IDG Ventures also participated in the round. Newmerix will use the funds to grow its research and development team and sales staff, as well as expand the breadth and depth of its Automate! software suite.

"Our success in acquiring customers in 2005 has encouraged us to accelerate development plans and product launches into additional packaged application markets," said Edward Roberto, president and CEO of Newmerix. "The Series B funds will allow us to capitalize on the opportunities created by Oracle's acquisition strategy and the growing demand to extend our product portfolio."

"Newmerix has a compelling story for anyone responsible for managing packaged applications," said Todd Jaquez-Fissori, Investment Partner at Siemens Venture Capital. "This funding will allow Newmerix to expand its efforts significantly and bring the proven benefits of their Automate! software suite to more customers.

"Newmerix's Automate! software is an integrated suite of program management, automated testing and change management software specifically designed for the unique architecture of packaged applications such as PeopleSoft, SAP, Oracle and Siebel. The first two products in the suite, Automate!Program Manager and Automate!Test, were released in 2004 to address the growing demand by packaged application customers to manage the chronic problems of change, planning and quality that frequently plague packaged application upgrades and implementations. Newmerix will complete its Automate! software suite with the release of a change management application in 2006.
