Three New Books from Yahoo! HotJobs Empower Job Seekers at All Levels to Find Great Opportunities Tailored to their Professional Status

With the job hunting season kicking into high gear, Yahoo! HotJobs (Nasdaq:YHOO), a leader in the online recruitment industry, today unveiled three new books designed to help all job seekers onto the fast track to career success. The series, authored by Yahoo! HotJobs career experts and published by Sterling Publishing Co. Inc., is available now at all Barnes & Noble stores to help job seekers throughout the country make good on their New Year's career resolutions. Beginning in February 2006, the books will be available nationwide wherever fine books are sold.

In anticipation of the brightest job market outlook in years, Yahoo! HotJobs has developed a series of career guides tailored to the individual needs of three distinct groups of job seekers -- new graduates, mid-career seekers and executives. Authored by Yahoo! HotJobs' resident experts -- Dan Finnigan, executive vice president and general manager, and Marc Karasu, vice president, the books offer up-to-date advice to help seekers at all levels capitalize on the opportunities presented by this year's robust job market.

"Our goal in writing these books is to provide the tools, strategies and insights, based on the experience of Yahoo! HotJobs, that will connect candidates to their dream jobs while reducing frustrations that present themselves during the job seeking process," said Dan Finnigan.

In From Learning to Earning: Success Strategies for New Grads, Finnigan and Karasu offer insight on leveraging resources and relevant statistics to help recent college grads transition from university life to their dream jobs. Specifically, the authors focus on:

-- Discovering the right career

-- Creating the first resume and cover letter

-- Learning how to interview professionally

-- Thriving and surviving without "real experience"

The book also includes advice from top business leaders based on their personal experiences. These well-known and successful business executives cover everything from relationship building to developing solid business practices.

In Your Next Move: Success Strategies for Mid-Career Professionals, Finnigan and Karasu create a job-hunting guide specifically for mid-career professionals, those workers who've been around the job-hunting block, but who may not be ready for the executive recruiter. This book caters to readers who are unemployed, or faced with returning to a job they've outgrown. It shows them how to leverage their respective experience to find the job that is right for them, and provides ways to:

-- Know when it's time to go

-- Search for new jobs -- both online and off

-- Breathe new life into a resume and cover letter

-- Impress the toughest interviewers

-- Balance a job search with a current full-time job

-- Negotiate a higher salary and better benefits

In Next Stop, Corner Office: Success Strategies for Managers and Executives, Finnigan and Karasu speak to the more seasoned executives who are ready to reach for the top. Packed with tips from successful business leaders with essential facts and resources, Next Stop, Corner Office helps readers who are looking to move up in their respective organizations along with those who are looking to take the helm someplace new. The book also includes ways for finding the ideal position after a period of unemployment.

"In our years of experience in working with job seekers and employers, we understand that there is a need to create a structured process, helping job hunters of all levels understand the components of a successful job search," said Karasu. "We wrote the books to do just that."
