Tech Data U.S. Appoints Charles R. Bartlett Jr. To Head Networking Product Marketing Division
Tech Data Corporation (NASDAQ:TECD), a leading distributor of IT products, today named Charles R. Bartlett Jr. vice president, Networking Product Marketing. Bartlett will lead the distributor’s networking business and oversee the development, implementation and execution of marketing initiatives for the division’s networking and security hardware, wireless technologies and IP telephony communications solutions.
Bartlett has more than two decades of IT sales, marketing and distribution experience, having held senior leadership positions with several manufacturers. Most recently, he was vice president, Global Distribution Sales, Marketing and E-Commerce with Molex Inc., a leading manufacturer of interconnect products and systems. Bartlett also was vice president Worldwide Distribution Sales, Marketing and E-Commerce with Phillips Semiconductor. Bartlett began his career in 1982 with National Semiconductor Corp. Bartlett held several sales and marketing positions during his 16-year tenure with National Semiconductor including vice president North American Distribution Business Unit; vice president Worldwide Distribution Sales and Marketing; and vice president Global Marketing Communication.

This week, Tech Data announced it had been selected as the first U.S. broadline distributor for Mitel(R), a leading provider of IP communications solutions. Through its Telephony SBU, Tech Data will distribute Mitel converged voice, video and data communications solutions for a range of small-to-midsized business (SMB) and enterprise-level deployments.
Bartlett earned a master’s degree in management and organizational development from Webster College in St. Louis and a bachelor’s degree in business management from Iowa State University. He also is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Command Officers School in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Described as an “industry barometer of sourcing trends,” the study asked solution providers to name their preferred sources and rate their performance on a varied set of criteria including support services.
