Chinese university opens online bar to offer students counseling
SHANGHAI, Jan. 15 (Xinhua) -- China's renowned Fudan University has recently opened an online bar as a counseling room for students to air complaints and seek psychological guidance, reported the Shanghai Evening Post.
According to the report, an online "cry bar" is available every Tuesday afternoon on Fudan's campus bulletin board system (BBS) to listen to students who are willing to share their psychological and real problems.
The virtual bar, hosted by school instructors, is popular with students for its privacy, Xia Kejia, a university official was quoted as saying.
Besides the virtual bar, the university has also opened a real consulting room and special instructors have been assigned to help students reduce psychological pressure.
