Mudslides Stop Rail Service

Jan. 16--TRANSPORTATION
Train service on the Amtrak Cascades line between Seattle and Vancouver, B.C., was canceled Sunday due to mudslides, through this morning. Alternate transportation was provided to and from Vancouver during the disruption.
Amtrak representative Marc Magliari said that train schedules would be updated as of this afternoon, pending information on operation conditions.
Passengers can call (800) USA-RAIL or visit www.Amtrak.com for schedule information and updates.
