Sprint Deploys dynamicsoft's Mobile Services Platform to Enhance Capabilities of Third-Generation Wireless Network

dynamicsoft, a leading provider of Session Initiation Protocol (SIP)-based infrastructure for subscriber-aware(TM) communications networks, today announced that its ongoing collaboration with Sprint (NYSE: FON) (NYSE: PCS) has contributed to the successful launch of PCS Ready Link(SM). PCS Ready Link is a nationwide walkie-talkie like service that allows users to communicate at the push of a button. This newly launched Sprint service leverages the capabilities of the dynamicsoft Service Engine for call routing, authentication and authorization for SIP-based communications.
The launch of PCS Ready Link is the culmination of a multi-year contract under which dynamicsoft has delivered a comprehensive SIP-based services platform and assisted Sprint with the deployment and certification of this service. In addition to operating the largest all-digital, nationwide wireless network in the United States, Sprint is the first wireless service provider to deploy an infrastructure based on SIP, the industry standard 3G multimedia call control protocol for voice, presence and other real-time communications.
The dynamicsoft Service Engine dramatically increases the types of communication services that a carrier can deploy on its 2.5G and 3G data network. It incorporates dynamicsoft's expertise in both standards leadership and commercial deployment of solutions based on SIP. Developers armed with the capabilities of the Service Engine can use the platform for session establishment, real-time and provisioned data management, authentication and authorization.
"As we continue to roll out multimedia services, our customers will discover that we have redefined the user experience," said Oliver Valente, vice president of Technology Development at Sprint. "The dynamicsoft SIP-based services platform will set the stage for a broad array of new services that take advantage of the capabilities of PCS Vision."
"Sprint, in keeping with its history of innovation, continues to demonstrate that 3G services are real and ready," said Patrick Farley, chief executive officer at dynamicsoft. "We anticipate that PCS Ready Link is merely the first of a host of services that will build on the capabilities of the Service Engine to provide a compelling end user experience, driving both subscriber growth and revenue per user."
