Libya/Germany: 1/9 Media Signs Contract With German Print Company

One Nine Media (1/9 Media), a Gaddafi Foundation for Development project, has signed a multi-million dollar contract with German printing company, Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG, to open a new print house in Tripoli, the Libyan Jamahiriya Broadcasting Corporation website reported on 9 January.
The 16m US dollar contract was signed by 1/9 Media Chairman Abdulsalam Almishri and Wolfgang Rot, the director of Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG. The report said Almishri expected the print house to be completed within nine months.
He also said 1/9 Media is to launch a new radio station "next" March and that preparations are underway to launch a 1/9 Media TV channel.
