Terminals are the key factor affecting the development of China's mobile gaming market. Although China has 390 million mobile phone subscribers, among them less than one third are mobile gaming subscribers whose handsets support data services.
"In 2006, as more and more people use smart phones and 3G networks put into commercial use, demands for mobile phone game products will be greatly provoked. Commercialization of 3G networks in 2006 will enable SPs to provide comprehensive data services. As service fees fall and users' experiences are continuously improved, more users will subscribe to mobile gaming services," says Fu Xinghua, a senior analyst from Analysys International, "3G also provides various possibilities for business model innovation. Content providers, service providers and operators will get more proactively involved in cooperation to provide service packages on 4C and 4P to users. User- oriented marketing will also boost the entire market development."
This subject will be further discussed along with other key issues and the industry trends in the 3G Innovation Summit Forum held on March 22, 2006 by Analysys International. For more information, please check the website: http://english.analysys.com.cn/ .
