Posted on: Tuesday, 24 January 2006, 12:00 CST

Scripps Networks has reached a long-term agreement with EchoStar Communications Corporation and its DISH Network to now offer FINE LIVING TV NETWORK. FINE LIVING has been added to DISH Network's America's Top 180 programming package.

"The popularity of FINE LIVING continues among distributors because they recognize the importance of providing differentiated programming that is entertaining and informative," said John Baird, executive vice president of Affiliate Sales and Marketing for Scripps Networks.

The DISH Network carriage for FINE LIVING will boost distribution for that network to more than 32 million cable and satellite households. Less than four years old, FINE LIVING continues to be one of the fastest growing TV networks from year to year.

"We want to provide customers with a world-class television viewing experience, and we will continue that philosophy with the addition of FINE LIVING," said Eric Sahl, senior vice president of Programming for DISH Network. "Scripps Networks is a programmer that truly knows what it means to provide the viewer with high-quality, informative entertainment."

DISH Network, which offers more than 500 channels, reached 1 million subscriber homes in 1997 and just recently announced that it had surpassed the 12 million customer mark.
