Two Students Hurt in School Van Crash
By Reading Eagle, Pa.
Jan. 24–Two female students from the Brandywine Heights School District were injured Monday afternoon when the school van in which they were passengers collided with another vehicle and rolled onto its side, state police said.
Troopers did not release the names or ages of the girls, who were the only passengers.
They said they were taken by ambulance to Lehigh Valley Hospital near Allentown after the 2:35 accident on Pricetown Road at Orchard Road in Ruscombmanor Township.
Troopers gave this account:
Judy Donelli, 38, Mertztown, was driving the school van east on Pricetown Road when it collided in the intersection with a car driven south on Orchard Road by Lawrence Kuhn, 37, Reading. The van struck a cement retaining wall and a fence, then rolled onto the driver’s side. Kuhn, who was not injured, was cited for several traffic violations. Donelli was not injured. Pricetown Road was closed briefly after the accident.
