FT. LAUDERDALE, Fla., Internet Telephony Expo, Jan. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- Netcentrex(TM), the leading enabler of next generation converged voice and video solutions, and TomatoVine(TM), a provider of voice and video telephony solutions for the residential and SMB enterprise markets, announced today an 18-city Voice over Broadband (VoBB) deployment based on Netcentrex market- leading VoIP application servers.
According to the agreement, TomatoVine is initially rolling out DID-based telephony services to the top 18 markets. TomatoVine's IMS-compliant residential service includes both Onvine(TM) Telephony and Onvine(TM) Video Calling and can be combined with high speed internet access and IPTV over a common broadband infrastructure for an integrated "triple play" offering. TomatoVine also offers a range of business services including Secure IP Trunking and Hosted IP Centrex with video calling and video mail.
TomatoVine's Virtual Service Provider Solution (VSPS) is a next generation VoIP product that leverages TomatoVine's infrastructure by hosting multiple different Virtual Service Providers (VSPs), each delivering customized service bundles to their subscribers. The Virtual Service Providers keep full control over their virtual platform while administering tasks related to ordering, provisioning, and customer care. TomatoVine's VSPS is a fully scalable way for a service provider to enter into the VoIP marketplace, under their own brand, without investing in new infrastructure. It includes a private labeled web portal for subscribers to manage their accounts and sign up for services.
"Netcentrex was the logical choice for a solution designed for virtual service providers in both the residential and enterprise markets," said Tony DiMatteo, TomatoVine Vice President. "VSPs targeting the VoBB market including ISPs, municipalities, FTTH providers, IP Centrex ASPs, and CLECs now have the perfect solution for fast time-to-market and low cost of ownership. Our feature-rich solution is also the most future-proof with advanced multi-media and triple play features."
"TomatoVine's choice of Netcentrex is a testament to the carrier-grade multi-tenancy of our VoIP Application Servers such as MyCall(TM)," said Netcentrex, Inc. CEO David Michaud. "With over 2.5 million lines in service, our application servers' multi-tiered System Management Platform is being used to provision over 5,000 new subscribers every day."
The TomatoVine VSPS can operate seamlessly on Ethernet, Cable, xDSL, WiFi, WiMAX or PLC networks using SIP, H.323 and/or MGCP protocols and supports a wide variety of VoIP phones, softphones, video terminals, and IP-PBXs.
