Network Appliance and Fujitsu Siemens Computers Partner to Deliver Unbreakable Oracle9i Database and Oracle9i Real Application Cluster Solutions

Fujitsu Siemens Computers and Network Appliance, Inc. (Nasdaq:NTAP) announced today the two companies will partner to help customers easily and cost effectively deploy highly available, high-performance Oracle-based solutions that can scale to meet the growing demands of small- and medium-sized businesses.

The two companies will offer a low-cost, scalable, integrated server and storage platform solution optimized for Oracle9i(TM) Database with Oracle9i Real Application Clusters (RAC) for Linux.

"Small- and medium-sized businesses can now reap the performance, scalability, and low-cost benefits of having Fujitsu Siemens Computers server clusters and NetApp storage integrated within Oracle9i Database and Oracle9i RAC environments," said Phil Williams, vice president of solutions at Network Appliance. The companies also announced they will showcase their joint technology at Oracle's enterprise technology centers (ETC) around the world. The enterprise technology centers are used to test, configure, and showcase a wide variety of Oracle technology including Oracle Collaboration Suite, Oracle9i Database and Oracle9i RAC, and Oracle E-Business Suite running on Fujitsu Siemens Computers servers and NetApp storage.

Both companies will showcase real-time enterprise examples of Oracle technology running on a Fujitsu Siemens Computers server (either Intel-based PRIMERGY- or Solaris/SPARC-based PRIMEPOWER-Server) controlled by Fujitsu Siemens Computers' PRIMECLUSTER product suite and NetApp storage environment, including Oracle9i RAC, Oracle E-Business Suite, and Oracle Collaboration Suite.

Professional Service Group and the Oracle Consulting

offerings include Oracle9i RAC migration and installation,
disaster recovery, and performance tuning.
