Jan. 26--VICTORVILLE -- Sheriff's officials who raided a home Tuesday night recovered approximately $2,000 worth of drugs and arrested nine people, including four juveniles. At about 7:30 p.m., members of the High Desert Street Enforcement Team and the Victorville City Gang Unit raided a house in the 15500 block of 10th Street. "We served a search warrant at this house for the illegal sales of narcotics, Sgt. Russ Wilke said. "A significant amount of narcotics and U.S. currency was recovered." About a month ago, sheriff's officials served drug-related search warrant at the residence, Wilke said. Earlier this month, deputies responded to a shooting at the house, sheriff's officials said. Shattered windows could still be seen in neighboring houses. Deputies said that the house was frequented by members of various sets of the Bloods street gang. Deputy Joe Catalano said things might improve if property owners and landlords were more careful about who they rented to. David Dewayne Hester, 26, Jimmy Jerome Williams, 45, Candice Denice Stanch, 21, Charles Dion Jones, 23, and Chadtuan Jaiwun Brown, 18, were arrested for suspicion of possessing cocaine for sale, sheriff's officials said. The five were booked at the Victor Valley jail, Catalano said. Three juveniles were arrested for suspicion of possessing cocaine for sale but were released to their parents, sheriff's officials said. A fourth juvenile was arrested for suspicion of possessing cocaine for sale and was booked into to the High Desert Juvenile Detention and Assessment Center in Apple Valley.
