SOHOware Launches AeroGate(TM) Access Service Gateway Family

SOHOware, an integrated wireless systems pioneer, launches AeroGate(TM), a new family of public network access solutions for deploying fee or amenity based Broadband services in hospitality, campus and MTU. As part of SOHOware's integrated hospitality solutions, AeroGate(TM) plays the key role of automating the subscriber self-service experience allowing the venue or Service Provider to optimize their Infrastructure investment returns. Platform options provide capacity for deployments from small business hotspots up to Service Provider managed communities supporting hundreds of concurrent users.

AeroGate(TM) represents carrier-grade solutions for guest or subscriber management that combine provisioning, accounting, security and manageability. Emphasis has been placed on processing and throughput performance to meet the concurrent user load of on-demand and long-term users. There are two AeroGate(TM) models, the WLH6000 Internet Subscriber Gateway for mid-size hotel and MTU networks supporting up to 400 concurrent users and the WLH9000 Access Service Gateway designed for Service Providers who deploy Broadband in large MTU/MDU and campus networks with up to 1500 concurrent users. Later in Q1, 2006, SOHOware will provide remote management for AeroGate(TM) with the WLH90-NMS, an Access Service Controller appliance that adds Enterprise hierarchy at the NOC for Service Providers who need to centrally manage provisioning services throughout their distributed properties.

Built-in networking features make AeroGate(TM) more cost effective for small to medium Service Providers. All models include multiple subnet support to separate public and private traffic without the investment in complex VLAN solutions. The WLH9000 also includes Gigabit support on all ports to meet bandwidth demands over distributed carrier networks.

As a companion to AeroGate(TM), SOHOware also offers AeroHotSpot(TM) WLH3000, a wireless hotspot gateway for small business hotspots in cafes, restaurants and business lobbies. AeroHotSpot(TM) and AeroGate(TM) form a complimentary suite of public network access solutions for a wide range of network sizes.
