VISION Global Solutions Secures US$6 Million Contract From Zimbabwe's National Social Security Authority

Posted on: Tuesday, 31 January 2006, 18:00 CST

VISION Global Solutions (OTCBB: VIGS), a developer and global provider of fully integrated business management software solutions, today announced that it has secured a major software contract from the National Social Security Authority (NSSA) of Zimbabwe. The sales, service and support agreement is expected to generate revenues in excess of US$6 million for VISION over the next 15 to 18 months.

As part of the contract, VISION is customizing its standard modules in financial management, distribution, manufacturing, project accounting, and human resources and payroll to meet a specific set of needs provided by the NSSA, an organization that has grown over the years into a portfolio vehicle managing the national Pension and Other Benefits Program, the Workers Compensation Insurance Fund, and a national health program that will be introduced later this year.

VISION competed for the business against such recognized providers as SAP and Oracle and was awarded the contract on the basis of the program's cost-effectiveness and the company's commitment to personalized service.

"We are leading the software development side of a major national initiative in Zimbabwe," said VISION CEO Jean-Paul Ouellette. "Collectively, our senior management in Canada and on-the-ground team in Zimbabwe are working diligently to deliver a complete software solution that meets a unique set of requirements; it is a very personalized undertaking that larger software providers simply cannot engage in because of the resources required to successfully deliver and service the solution."

"Other countries in the region - most notably Uganda and Kenya - are monitoring our progress and have shown an interest in acquiring the same software we are installing in Zimbabwe. Once we complete the development phase, we could be poised for considerable new business in the region, where we know countries are searching for such solutions, because no such software with these great degrees of personalization and flexibility currently exists," added Ouellette.

About the Zimbabwe NSSA

With approximately 5,000 employees, the NSSA in Zimbabwe is a public institution and government initiative that has introduced social protection to Zimbabwean workers and their families. The Authority is mandated by government to administer Social Security programs in this country. For more information, please visit www.nssa.org.zw.
