PALO ALTO, Calif., Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- NeoEdge Networks today announced the appointment of Vic Mahadevan as chief executive officer. Mahadevan was most recently CEO of Maxxan, where he led the company through the development and launch of its next-generation networking infrastructure technologies for the enterprise storage industry.

"NeoEdge Networks has incredible potential and is poised for stellar growth in the digital content distribution market," said Vic Mahadevan, chief executive officer for NeoEdge Networks. "I'm inspired by the talent I'll be working with, the innovation this technology has to offer, and the unique company position within a market that is on the verge of explosive growth."

Mr. Mahadevan is a 27-year veteran of the high tech industry with extensive experience in guiding companies and developing strategic business development agreements. Before serving as CEO of Maxxan, he was CEO and co-founder of iVita Corporation, an enterprise asset management software company. Before starting iVita, he was Vice President and General Manager of the Enterprise Storage and Application Recovery Division for BMC Software. NeoEdge Networks will offer a breakthrough direct-to-consumer service that will give digital product companies a private, secure digital delivery and sales channel to consumers. The service will address a significant concern of consumers and content providers alike by establishing a direct private link, eliminating the fears of hacker and virus intrusion or concerns about digital rights infringement.
