INC3 Ventures today announced investment in Kenati Technologies, Inc., an emerging leader in Linux based embedded software for next generation of networking appliances for delivery of data and voice over wired and wireless broadband networks.
Kenati provides a complete suite of Open Source-based software framework and applications that are easy to port, configure, customize and deploy in a short period of time. The Networks Persona (NP) Suite from Kenati runs on a variety of industry standard SoCs based on X86, XScale, ARM, MIPS, PowerPC and SH CPU cores. This software suite enables CPE and MSOs vendors to bring their solutions to market in record time for each generation of SoC devices and thus shortening the time to revenue for SoC and equipment vendors.
Dhimant Bhayani, Co-Founder and Managing Partner of INC3 Ventures, commented that "Number of networked devices in a connected home is increasing at a rapid rate for applications ranging from simple broadband access and VOIP to IAD and Media Center Extensions. These markets are served by equipment vendors that use a variety of SOCs introduced at a rapid pace by a number of leading silicon vendors. This high growth -- fast changing market place needs a reliable and flexible software platform to bring out new network managed devices at a rapid pace and Kenati is uniquely positioned to serve this market by partnering with leading chip vendors."
"We are delighted to have Dhimant join Kenati's Board. We partnered with INC3 Ventures because it has a successful track record of investing in early stage, high growth, US-India companies with successful exits, such as vEngines & Paxonet. Partnering with an established seed/early stage technology fund like INC3 validates our vision. We look forward to working with Dhimant to help us take Kenati to the next level. The market for networked devices is experiencing exponential growth and with this investment, Kenati is well positioned to build upon this momentum," said Andy Chinmulgund, CEO of Kenati.
Kenati will use the investment from INC3 Ventures to expand its R&D center in Pune and to further accelerate the company growth. Kenati's products have gained significant traction with blue-chip semiconductor companies and leading equipment vendors and MSOs.
