CopperCom CopperCommander Network Management System Awarded INTERNET TELEPHONY Product of the Year Award; Next-Gen Softswitch Company Recognized As Leading VoIP Provider

Posted on: Wednesday, 1 February 2006, 12:00 CST

CopperCom announced today that Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC(R))'s INTERNET TELEPHONY(R) magazine (http://www.itmag.com) has awarded CopperCom's CopperCommander Network Management System a prestigious 2005 Product of the Year award. INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine has been a VoIP Authority since 1998.

The award recognizes companies that demonstrate the vision and performance that are hallmarks of the Product of the Year award winners.

"We are extremely honored to be recognized by INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine as a 2005 Product of the Year award winner," said Mike Myers, president and chief executive officer, CopperCom. "Our CopperCommander management system significantly reduces the operational burden of managing large networks. It makes it possible for our customers to painlessly and seamlessly migrate their networks to revenue-generating, next-generation IP services."

The CopperCom CopperCommander system enables carriers to view and manage all switching nodes on a CopperCom Converged Switching eXchange (CSX) network from a single location. It simplifies the deployment of sophisticated multi-nodal switch networks, allowing them to operate at significantly lower cost.

"Each year INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine bestows its Product of the Year awards on companies that have demonstrated excellence in technological advancement and application refinements. CopperCom has demonstrated to the editors of INTERNET TELEPHONY that its products or services are committed to quality and innovation while addressing the real needs in the marketplace," said Rich Tehrani, group publisher and editor-in-chief of INTERNET TELEPHONY.
