StrikeForce Technologies Receives ''Hot Companies 2006 Award'' From Info Security Products Guide
Posted on: Thursday, 2 February 2006, 12:00 CST
StrikeForce Technologies (OTCBB: SKFT), the identity assurance experts, today received the "Hot Companies 2006 Award" from Info Security Products Guide, world's leading publication on security-related products and technologies. StrikeForce was chosen from more than 600 security nominees around the world.
StrikeForce was recognized for its holistic suite of identity assurance solutions that helps protect personal identities at the most vulnerable points: account creation, account access and online activity. StrikeForce's products help solve one of the most pressing issues for businesses, the protection of its customers and employees confidential information through identity verification, identity authentication and anti-keylogging products.
"Identification and authentication serve two purposes which include identifying the individual and secondly that the individual is who he or she claims to be." said Rick Justice, Chief Editor for Info Security Products Guide. "StrikeForce Technologies helps prevent identity theft and helps ensure security breaches are proactively prevented."
StrikeForce won this award based on the "4 P" criteria: Product, People (executive background), Potential (short-term and long-term revenue), and Penetration (market dynamics). Three of StrikeForce's products were cited in the award:
-- ProtectID(TM): a two-factor "out-of-band" authentication that crosses 10 different types of devices, including cell phones and tokens, and locks out hackers even if they have the victims' usernames and passwords. ProtectID helps financial services institutions comply with FFIEC guidelines to offer multi-factor authentication for online banking by the end 2006.
-- VerifyID(TM): is an online quiz that asks questions only the intended user can answer correctly, helping thwarting thieves from posing under fraudulent identities in opening new accounts.
-- GuardedID(TM): is an Anti-keylogger that makes every keystroke invisible to hackers by encrypting the keystrokes at the keyboard for secure transmissions to Web sites, thereby restoring confidence at a higher level for e-commerce and online banking.
"Verification and authentication are about protecting our identities, not just securing online banking and shopping," said George Waller, EVP of StrikeForce Technologies. "Companies are also seeing the problem grow from lost revenues to degradation of brand confidence - a much larger business issue that requires aggressive action."
