HireDiversity.Com Expands Services to Help Recruiters Meet New OFCCP Regulations
Posted on: Thursday, 2 February 2006, 15:00 CST
HireDiversity is expanding its services to help human resources professionals meet the requirements of the new OFCCP Internet applicant regulations that will take effect on February 6, 2006. The Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP), a part of the Department of Labor's Employment Standards Administration, is forcing employers to make sweeping changes in how they document their applicant searches on the Internet. The new regulation is designed to help the OFCCP collect data about Internet applicant searches to help them better enforce nondiscrimination laws.
HireDiversity's new service will enable recruiters to keep track of the specific position for which each search of HireDiversity's resume database is made. It will also document the criteria used to conduct the search, the date of the search, and provide a list of resumes who met the basic requirements of the position for which the recruiter is searching.
"For many recruiters, the new regulations are a recordkeeping nightmare," states Bill Krutzen, Director of Operations for HireDiversity.com, a division of Hispanic Business Inc. "The new services we are implementing will assist recruiters with the new OFCCP regulations and will be available to HireDiversity members at no extra cost."
