Xanadoo is pleased to announce the launch of its revolutionary new wireless high-speed Internet service in Lubbock, Texas using equipment from Navini Networks. Xanadoo Wireless High-Speed Internet delivers a portable, always-on Internet connection that is revolutionary in its simplicity and convenience. Xanadoo is planning to extend its service to Wichita Falls and Abilene, Texas in the next few months along with additional Texas markets in late 2006 and 2007.
"Xanadoo is a revolutionary new wireless high-speed Internet service," said Mark Pagon, chief executive officer of Xanadoo. "Unlike DSL and cable broadband services, Xanadoo customers are no longer tethered to their home or office for a fast, always-on Internet connection. With Xanadoo's portable modem or laptop card, Xanadoo customers can continuously maintain their Internet connection wherever they are throughout the day -- at home, in the office, in the classroom or at the coffee shop.
"And, Xanadoo has no complicated modem installations, annual contracts, additional landline or video service requirements, hidden fees or gimmicky promotional pricing schemes", continued Mr. Pagon. "Consumers want a portable, always-on Internet connection. They want simple service and pricing plans with no hidden charges or complicated contracts to sign. And they want the experience of buying and activating their service to be as simple and easy as going to the ATM. That is exactly what Xanadoo Wireless High-Speed Internet delivers!"
Roger Dorf, president and chief executive officer of Navini Networks added, "What's really exciting about Navini's platform is that it brings innovation and advanced wireless technologies to mid-size markets. Consumers and small business owners can benefit from leading edge wireless broadband. It can now be deployed economically to a much broader set of markets. Our customers have repeatedly told us that they want a proven commercial system where the product and underlying economics allow them to compete head-to-head with incumbent wireline providers. Navini offers a unique and proven portable wireless broadband network solution that provides NLOS coverage and easy plug-and-play activation, with a seamless upgrade path to 802.16e."
