Global Telecommunications and Networking Giant Huawei Continues to Show Its Strength

Huawei Technologies made a stand-out appearance today at this year's Cairo ICT showcasing its product and service portfolio in Egypt to network operators, members of the media and industry analysts.

Participating in the annual event, Huawei Technologies Co. LTD. ("Huawei"), the Shenzhen-headquartered global telecommunications and networking company, attracted decision-makers with a comprehensive range of solutions that reflect the organization's robust position in the Egyptian market.

"Huawei's products and services play an important role in telecommunications throughout the Middle East. Cairo ICT was a vital showcase for our telecoms solutions, especially the launch of the Huawei E620 high-speed data card," said Mr. Zhu Xiaobin, General Manager of Huawei Egypt.

Among the products showcased during Cairo ICT were Huawei's wireless, network and transmission products, including UMTS, GSM, CDMA, and NGN solutions. Huawei also launched its new data card -- the E620 -- which provides laptop users with wireless internet- connectivity on GSM networks.

"Working closely with leading telecom companies, our new E620 data card will allow users a high-speed internet connection anywhere within network coverage areas," Mr. Zhu Xiaobin noted during a live demonstration of the data card.

As part of its efforts to further develop Egypt's thriving telecoms sector, Huawei has successfully cooperated with Telecom Egypt in a number of key initiatives, including the formation of the largest national Intelligent Network in the MENA region, optical network SDH rings, and the CDMA WLL system.
