In January 2000, BorderWare achieved a major breakthrough when the BorderWare Firewall Server software became the first product of its kind to earn a Common Criteria EAL4+ (with EAL5 Vulnerability Analysis) Certification. Building from its fundamental security technology, S-Core(TM), a hardened operating system integral to the Common Criteria certifications, the company has migrated its software solutions to hardware appliances delivering a more robust solution to customers. In addition to SteelGate, a comprehensive network firewall+VPN appliance based on BorderWare Firewall Server, BorderWare delivers a series of "application-specific" appliances, including the award-winning products: MXtreme(TM) Mail Firewall for email; NameVault(TM) DNS for DNS security and management; and DocumentGateway(TM), a secure Web-based document collaboration platform.
