Zenoss Launches Open Source Enterprise Systems Management Project

Zenoss, Inc., an open source systems management software company, announced today at the Open Source Business Conference in San Francisco, California, the launch of the Zenoss open source systems management project.

"The goal of the Zenoss project is to lower the cost and complexity of enterprise systems management leveraging the power of open source and the modern web," said Bill Karpovich, CEO of Zenoss, Inc.

The Zenoss software has been in development since 2002. "The software is designed from the ground up to provide the essential functionality needed to effectively monitor and manage IT infrastructure in a product that is integrated and easy to use," said Erik Dahl, CTO and architect of Zenoss.

Network and systems engineers/operators are invited to download the Zenoss software and join the Zenoss community at http://www.zenoss.org.
