Posted on: Thursday, 16 February 2006, 09:00 CST
Minicom, a leading provider of Out-Of-Band (OOB) KVM, Serial, and remote access server management solutions, will be showcasing new products for the server management market at CeBit 2006.
KVM.net is a comprehensive system for secure, centralized management of global KVM access to servers. The system answers the need for managed access in high density enterprise environments. It is a robust, highly available system with powerful authentication and authorization mechanisms for secure user sessions. KVM.net is designed to leverage existing installations and legacy systems with smarter management of different server/data center configurations, preserving your KVM investment.
The complete KVM.net system includes the KVM.net Manager and any number of IP devices.
The PX is a compact, cost effective, single server IP device for unblocked access to servers. Connecting a PX to each of your mission critical servers turns the KVM.net system into a fully secure, digital, non-blocking matrix solution allowing any number of remote users to control any number of servers, regardless of their physical location and topology.
Smart IP Access is a high performance IP device that provides KVM/IP access to servers connected to Minicom and most 3rd party KVM switches. The IP Control is a high performance IP device for remote access to servers and legacy switches outside the KVM.net managed environment. Both IP devices provide superior video, real-time mouse synchronization, SSL encryption, and remote Serial control.
