Micron Engineers Offer ACT/SAT Prep Sessions

Feb. 17--Students interested in improving their math skills for the ACT/SAT tests can attend special preparatory sessions taught by Micron engineers.
Classes will be held at Timberline High School Room 218 from 10 a.m. to noon on various Saturdays through May. No pre-registration is necessary. Students may attend one, a few or all of the following sessions:
-- Feb. 25 -- Test-taking strategy, basic math review -- factors, ratios, fractions, decimals, percentages, word problems.
-- March 11 -- Graphs, functions, domain of functions, word problems.
-- March 18 -- Probability, exponents, linear inequality, absolute value, quadratic equations, word problems.
-- April 15 -- Test-taking strategies, quadratic equations, word problems.
-- April 22 -- Sequences and series, AP, GP, coordinate geometry, lines, angles, special triangles, word problems.
-- April 29 -- Perimeter, area, volume, exponents, logs, word problems.
-- May 13 -- Set theory, multiplication, permutation, combination, word problems.
-- May 20 -- Trigonometry, conics, circles, word problems.
Upcoming SAT test dates include: April 1, April 8, May 6, June 3 and June 10.
