Dell Forms Partnership with Fuji Xerox, 2 Others in Printer Biz

Las Vegas, Jan. 8 (Jiji Press)--U.S. computer maker Dell Inc. has formed a technical alliance with Japan's Fuji Xerox Co. and two other firms in a bid to expand its lineup of digital imaging products and printers, Dell Chief Executive Officer Michael Dell said Thursday.
Fuji Xerox is a subsidiary of Japan's Fuji Photo Film Co. . The other two partners are Eastman Kodak Co. and Samsung Electronics Co.
He made the announcement at the 2004 International Consumer Electronics Show here but gave no details, such as new product description.
Dell currently procures printers from Lexmark International Inc. and sells them under its own brand.END
