Green Hills Software, Inc., the leader in real-time operating systems (RTOS) and device software optimization (DSO), today announced that it has joined Texas Instruments Incorporated's (TI) TMS320(TM) Third Party Network as a software and embedded services provider.
The Green Hills MULTI integrated development environment (IDE), cross compilers, target hardware probes, royalty-free real-time operating systems (INTEGRITY and velOSity) and target middleware now support the DaVinci technology from TI, including support for advanced Linux kernel and application debugging. Developed in partnership with TI, the Green Hills solution for DaVinci provides a comprehensive suite of development tools, operating systems and middleware running on the general purpose processor (GPP) ARM core and the latest TI Digital Signal Processor (DSP) core, the C64x+(TM) core.
"TI's DaVinci processor is the most advanced heterogeneous multicore solution to date," said Dan Mender, director of business development at Green Hills Software. "Green Hills Software is pleased to be part of the TI third party program, providing value-added solutions to our mutual customers. By supporting TI's advanced processor technology, we enable customers to shorten their product development cycles while ensuring maximum reliability and functionality."
"Green Hills Software is a valued addition to our Third Party Network, providing customers with a complete, integrated and validated debugger, compiler and target software solution for use in the development and deployment of DaVinci-based designs. Green Hills Software's advanced target software capabilities and products coupled with the advanced multicore debugging support of the MULTI IDE for ARM and C64x+ core provide the customer the tools to harness the performance of DaVinci technology," said Greg Mar, worldwide system-on-a chip marketing manager, Texas Instruments.
Green Hills Software will be demonstrating its new TI DaVinci development solution at the TI Developer Conference, February 28 through March 2, 2006 in Dallas, Texas.
