Globecomm Systems Awarded Infrastructure Contract From a Major Provider of Enterprise Services in the United States

Globecomm Systems Inc. (NASDAQ: GCOM), a global provider of end-to-end satellite-based communications solutions, today announced that it has been awarded a satellite infrastructure contract from an existing customer valued at approximately $1.1 million.

On January 4, 2006, Globecomm announced that it would be providing a turnkey Intelsat earth station and all the related subsystems to a major provider of enterprise network services in the United States. Globecomm has been extensively involved with this customer's network build-out in previous years and the customer has once again turned to Globecomm for similar infrastructure expansion. The Company anticipates completing this project over the next four months and continues to work with the customer to develop additional projects in the future.
