Flextronics Network Services Acquires JR Paulista in Brazil

Flextronics Network Services today announced that it has acquired Construtora JR Paulista LTDA in Brazil, from Algar Telecom S.A, a subsidiary of the Brazilian telecommunications and agribusiness conglomerate, the Algar Group. Flextronics Network Services is a business unit of Flextronics (NASDAQ: FLEX) and a global, independent leader in multi-vendor network services for mobile and fixed networks.

JR Paulista is a major network services supplier to the market-leading, fixed-line telecommunications carrier, Telefonica, and upon completion of the acquisition, Flextronics Network Services will continue to serve as a supplier to Telefonica in Brazil and the greater Latin American region.

In addition to increasing its global presence and headcount in Latin America, Flextronics Network Services will also expand its service offering by adding indoor site maintenance for telecommunication switches. The company will also enhance its established business of outdoor construction and maintenance of telecommunications network equipment and cabling by providing power supply and air conditioning services in the region.

The acquisition is subject to subsequent regulatory approval.
