Syntricity Reports 2005 Revenue Growth

Posted on: Thursday, 23 February 2006, 09:00 CST

Syntricity, Inc., a provider of enterprise yield management (EYM) software for the semiconductor industry, today announced revenue growth of 33 percent for year end 2005. The company expects even higher growth for 2006, fueled by demand for Syntricity's Software as a Service (SAAS) delivery model, dataConductor.com. Syntricity expects its SAAS offering, which allows manufacturers to access, manage and analyze yield data from facilities around the world, to grow more than 50 percent in 2006.

dataConductor.com is hosted and administered by Syntricity. It captures and integrates customer information by continuously monitoring their global supply chain, placing data in a centralized warehouse and providing access via a Web interface to various levels of management. The system generates daily yield reports and other critical information needed by engineering, operations and management to make decisions about process and product yield.

SAAS-delivered software, also known as on-demand or hosted software, is a growing trend because companies can start using the software immediately while avoiding infrastructure and ongoing administrative expenses. By 2010, Gartner analysts predict that 30 percent of software revenue will be derived from SAAS-delivery.

"Our SAAS option enables companies to quickly implement an enterprise yield management solution without the capital investment and overhead costs associated with a traditionally installed application," said Marc Friedmann, president of Syntricity. "We anticipate growing demand for dataConductor.com due to cost savings and ease of implementation."

Airgo Networks, Inc., a pioneer and world leader in high performance wireless technology, has recently implemented Syntricity's SAAS option due to its flexibility, ease of use and maintenance model.

"With dataconductor.com, we effectively have the ability to see real-time yields and parameter distributions for our ICs. We can access the data from anywhere in the world, whether on the test floor in Taiwan or at my kitchen table, using the Internet," said Jim Caravella, director of the Arizona Design Center for Airgo Networks, Inc. "Syntricity hosts the data and maintains the data integrity in the system, which is very cost effective for us. This system and these tools have been invaluable to us."

About Airgo Networks

Airgo Networks has developed and is currently the only company shipping in volume a wireless communication technology known as Multiple Input Multiple Output (MIMO) Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) for wireless LAN or Wi-Fi(R) networks. MIMO provides greatly improved data rates and range over anything in the Wi-Fi(R) market today. Current Airgo powered products are able to achieve greater than 100Mbs true data throughput which is as fast as typical wired networks. For more information, visit www.airgonetworks.com.
