Borland Process Optimization Experts Team With Customers to Present at 18th Annual Software Engineering Process Group (SEPG) Conference

Borland Software Corporation, the global leader for Software Delivery Optimization (SDO), today announced that its process optimization experts will present three sessions at this year's Software Engineering Process Group (SEPG) Conference to be held March 6-9 in Nashville, Tenn. In two of the sessions, Borland experts will team with Borland customers EDS and Certegy Check Services to showcase process best practices in the areas of Capability Maturity Model(R) Integration (CMMI(R)), business/IT alignment and skills training.

On Tuesday, March 7 at 11:20 a.m. CT, Borland's Mike Evanoo, senior principal consultant will jointly deliver a session with Certegy's Andy Willums, manager of software process improvement, entitled "Rapidly Developing and Deploying an Organizational Program." This session will outline how Borland and Certegy worked together to create and rapidly implement a successful training program for over 200 people, part of Certegy's preparation to be assessed at CMMI Level 3.

On Wednesday, March 8 at 11:20 a.m. CT, Borland's Kathy Sanchez, senior technical consultant will present "CMMI and People CMM: Anything in Common?" This presentation will focus on commonalities between the CMMI and People CMM models, and how to apply both as effectively as possible.

Mike Evanoo and Charlene Fox, project integration coach from EDS, will provide insight into "Translating to the Language of Management" on Thursday, March 9 at 8:30 a.m. CT. This presentation provides translations to help the process-improvement professional effectively communicate the benefits of each maturity level in CMMI.
