SafeNet Security Co-Processor and VPN Software Provide Security Features for HP Print Server

SafeNet, Inc. (NASDAQ:SFNT), setting the standard for information security, today announced that its QuickSec VPN security software and SafeXcel-1141 security co-processor will provide networking security functionality for the Gigabit-class HP Jetdirect 635n internal print server.

SafeXcel-1141 is a highly integrated security co-processor designed to provide high-performance IPSec security protocol acceleration for cost-sensitive designs. Integrated with SafeNet's QuickSec VPN security software, this hardware/software system provides a complete and proven security solution which significantly reduces development cost and time to market for OEMs.

The modular HP Jetdirect 635n print server features built-in IPSec security for robust authentication and encryption. The HP Jetdirect 635n is designed to enable IT organizations to securely share supported peripherals on a Gigabit or Fast Ethernet network, with data transmission at Gigabit speeds.
