KnowledgeLake Revenue Doubles; Driving Momentum for 2007 Microsoft(R) Office System Release

Posted on: Tuesday, 28 February 2006, 12:00 CST

KnowledgeLake Inc., a leading provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions for Microsoft(R) SharePoint(TM) Products and Technologies, today announced the next stage of its plans for development around the upcoming release of the 2007 Microsoft(R) Office system. With 2005 revenues nearly doubling for the third consecutive year, KnowledgeLake is poised to execute its aggressive Microsoft Office system strategy.

KnowledgeLake's management team notes 2005 as a critical year for the success of Microsoft SharePoint Product and Technologies based ECM solutions. "We took a risk by shifting our entire ECM practice to Microsoft in 2004," says Chuck Nash, Principal of KnowledgeLake. "This was a make or break year, and we more than made it."

KnowledgeLake is focusing its efforts on the SMB (Small and Midsize Business) market. Using the Microsoft SharePoint Products and Technologies platform and lowering its price point has allowed KnowledgeLake to rapidly increase its customer base in that market space. "Never before have ECM vendors been able to meet the needs of the mid-market. KnowledgeLake has partnered with Microsoft to do just that," says Nash. "We bring Enterprise Content Management to everyone."

KnowledgeLake will release its Microsoft Office system product suite alongside the launch of Office 2007 later this year. Document imaging and content-centric workflow will remain the primary focus for KnowledgeLake. "Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 will provide a very robust platform. KnowledgeLake will fill critical gaps and bring decades of industry experience to create complete ECM solutions," says Ron Cameron, Chief Architect of KnowledgeLake.

"KnowledgeLake has solid expertise in building on the Office System platform," said Kurt DelBene, corporate vice-president of the Office Server Group at Microsoft Corp. "Their current document imaging, COLD (report capture), and workflow solutions based on 2003 SharePoint products and technologies provide rich value for the financial services, insurance and public sectors. We're looking forward to seeing them build great solutions for their customers on top of our new workflow and enterprise content management platform later this year."

KnowledgeLake will demonstrate a Beta version of its Microsoft Office system technology at the Microsoft Office System Developers Conference in Redmond, WA, March 21-23.
