ATLANTA, March 2 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Numerex Corp. announced today the release of Digital Uplink(TM), the next generation in wireless security monitoring. One of the first wireless digital security solutions in the marketplace, Digital Uplink has completed beta testing and is generally available through 4,500 security dealers throughout North America. Powered by Numerex Networks(TM) and the DigiCell(R) AnyNET module, Digital Uplink is a single-source solution for dedicated wireless security communications, with complete support for digital, legacy, and hybrid networks.
"Following in the tradition of our market leading Uplink wireless security products, our new digital products provide our partners and their customers all of the features they have come to depend on, plus support for digital network technologies and applications-and with the same competitive pricing of their current Uplink service plan," said Chuck Horne senior vice president of marketing for Numerex Corp. "And because our DigiCell AnyNET technology supports several digital and hybrid network environments, our partners enjoy maximum flexibility in the design and deployment of their security solutions."
Digital Uplink is designed to provide easy web-based administration, quick installation, instant connectivity, flat rate pricing and automated testing - without requiring specialized central station hardware or software. Dedicated network coverage is available throughout North America, including the United States, Canada and the Caribbean. Digital Uplink further eases installation and deployment while providing consumers and businesses with the dedicated protection of a fully wireless security connection.
Along with Airdesk Wireless, Uplink Security is part of Numerex's wireless data group. Uplink serves the fixed security marketplace with solutions that provide dedicated wireless monitoring and communication of alarm events to central stations and end users. Airdesk serves the utilities, security, automotive, healthcare, retail and manufacturing markets with M2M products and services for asset tracking, inventory control, point-of-sale systems, vending, and a host of other emerging M2M applications.
Available through local distributors, Digital Uplink will also be demonstrated April 5-7, 2006, at the ISC West tradeshow in Las Vegas. Please visit http://www.uplink.com/ for more information, or visit booth #18114.
