Mar. 3--Good morning! It's cloudy and chillier [http://weather.kentucky.com/US/KY/Lexington.html] today, with highs expected to reach the mid-40s. Lows will dip into the lower 20s tonight.
Kentucky Senate Democrats yesterday blocked a proposed constitutional amendment [http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/14005858.htm] that would limit state judges' authority to rule on such issues as gay rights and the posting of the Ten Commandments. Meanwhile, the state House approved a measure that would require women to consult with a doctor face to face before having an abortion. [http://www.kentucky.com/mld/kentucky/14005878.htm]

Jay Bennish ripped capitalism, United States foreign policy in general and the Iraq war in particular during a 20-minute rant that a student captured on tape.
