Tube Time Adds Free Internet Access, More Hours

Mar. 8–Tube Time, a downtown Bellingham business that provides an indoor play area for children, recently added free Internet access and expanded its operations to seven days a week. Patrons of Tube Time, located next to the Bellingham Public Market at 1522 Cornwall Ave., now can connect to the Internet via a Wi-Fi network. Tube Time also added a quiet room for adults as part of a major renovation. Besides wireless Internet access, the room features a large window for keeping an eye on children. “Parents, grandparents and baby sitters can check their e-mail, write letters and get some work done while their children are enjoying a healthy experience in a safe environment,” said co-owner Dale VanderYacht. Tube Time now is open from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. on Sundays during the winter season. CURVES WAIVES SERVICE FEE DURING FOOD DRIVE Curves, a health fitness franchise, is waiving its normal service fee for any new member who brings in a bag of nonperishable groceries and joins between Feb. 27 and March 11. Last year Curves, organized a food drive and collected 10.6 million pounds of food for local communities all over the world – almost 3 million more pounds than the year before.More than 251,000 new members joined Curves during last year’s food drive. Others also can donate by dropping off nonperishable food items at Curves Monday through Saturday during business hours through the month of March. Curves has two locations in Bellingham: 3060 Northwest Ave. and 505 32nd St., No. 105. Curves is also located in Lynden at 8132 Guide Meridian.
