China to Set Up FM Radio, TV Station in Zanzibar

China has said it will make sure the people of Zanzibar get an FM radio station and TV channel before the end of 2006. This was today said by the chief engineer of China's national radio, Mr Wu [phonetic], while bidding farewell to the director-general of the Voice of Tanzania-Zanzibar, Mr Yusuf Omar Sunda, at the Raha Leo Broadcasting House, after concluding his visit to Zanzibar.
Mr Wu, who was accompanied by the deputy manager of China's Radio and TV, said the first steps China would take was to bring experts and complete the feasibility studies.
