Siemens Announces Availability of Stylish A56i Mobile Phone at AT&T Wireless

SAN DIEGO, Jan. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Siemens mobile today announced the availability of the A56i mobile phone through AT&T Wireless beginning January 16. The A56i will be offered by AT&T Wireless as a GoPhone(R), giving users not only the latest in advanced mobile technology, but also a flexible service plan with no annual contract or activation fee.

The A56i is ideal for the consumer interested in customizing their mobile phone to reflect their style. Users can record and download sounds for life-like, polyphonic ring tones, or use the A56i's Enhanced Messaging Service (EMS) capabilities to send basic text messages or compose more animated messages with pre-defined sounds and graphics*. Consumers can play several exciting pre-loaded games using the phone's Wireless Java(TM) Technology, or download their own with the A56i's flexible memory management capabilities. Users can make calls and access features using voice-dialing and voice command features, and the speakerphone feature allows them to have hands-free conversations. AT&T Wireless GoPhone is available at AT&T Wireless retail stores and authorized dealers for a suggested retail price of $89.99.

The A56i is a dual band 850/1900 MHz Global System for Mobile communications (GSM(TM)) phone with General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) Class 8 technology for fast download capabilities. Users can access the Internet with a Wireless Access Protocol (WAP) 1.2.1 browser*. The A56i provides up to 150 hours** of standby time, up to 300 minutes** of talk time, and a Li-Ion 700 mAh battery.
