Xandros Launches First-Ever Linux Alternative to Windows With Third Generation Wireless Support

(CeBIT) -- Xandros, the leading provider of easy-to-use Linux alternatives to Windows, today released the Xandros Desktop OS 3.1 Deutsche Version Business Edition, the first Linux distribution with third generation wireless support. The new German Business edition provides a complete Linux alternative to Windows business desktops including support for the high speed universal mobile telecommunications system (UMTS) and authentication against Windows Primary Domain Controllers (PDC) and Active Directory servers. The company will be showcasing the product at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany this week in Hall 5 Stand F 58/1.
