Brasil Telecom of America, Inc. / GlobeNet Selects Tel(X) As Its International Gateway to Provide High Bandwidth Connectivity to and From North and South America

NEW YORK, March 9 /PRNewswire/ -- tel(x), the owner and operator of two of North America's premier core interconnection facilities, announces that Brasil Telecom of America, Inc. / GlobeNet, an international carrier's carrier linking North and South America, has selected tel(x) as its New York international gateway. Customers and carriers now have the ability to access GlobeNet's submarine fiber-optic network through the tel(x) New York facility located within 60 Hudson Street, NYC.

With the use of tel(x)'s interconnection facilities, GlobeNet will further extend its managed capacity services while continuing to provide the highest quality and availability of service at the lowest latencies between the U.S.A., Bermuda, Brazil and Venezuela.
