Within the telecommunications and cable industries, Tollgrade's access network test systems are relied upon by numerous service providers to test more than 300 million subscriber lines. Tollgrade solutions allow service providers to improve their business models by accurately qualifying potential subscribers for new service offerings, to improve initial customer satisfaction and reduce churn by remotely verifying network provisioning for new subscribers and to reduce MTTR, Call Handling Time, and Dispatches by quickly isolating reported troubles.
Tollgrade has built upon this position in the access network to provide unique test solutions that enable service providers to seamlessly transition to a broadband triple play infrastructure and offer Multi-layered IP Voice, Data and Video services. At Telecom-Next 2006, Tollgrade will be introducing two new solutions, which will represent the industry's first VoIP test solutions built upon ADSL, ADSL2+, and DOCSIS broadband access network test points. These new VoIP solutions will be available for customer trial in the second quarter of this year and are expected to be generally available shortly thereafter,
- The LoopCare(TM) Test OSS, when coupled with DigiTest EDGE and DigiTest HUB, will enable telecom service providers to remotely isolate VoIP provisioning and performance troubles from a DSLAM-based access point. - The CheetahXD(TM) Broadband Assurance Platform, when coupled with the Cheetah(TM) family of DOCSIS(R)-based products, will enable cable service providers to remotely isolate VoIP provisioning and performance troubles from an HFC-based test access point.
"These solutions fully replicate the customer's IP service experience and allow the network operator to remotely and accurately isolate CPE, Access, Ethernet/IP, CMS and Gateway troubles," said Greg Quiggle, Executive Vice President of Marketing at Tollgrade. "In doing so, our solutions test voice quality from the critical point in the network that represents the subscribers' voice services and is the source of the largest number of VoIP troubles."
