BSQUARE (Nasdaq:BSQR), a leading provider of smart device solutions, has been promoted by Intel to Bronze Level Status within the Intel(R) Communications Alliance. The Intel(R) Communications Alliance is a select community of solution providers committed to the development of modular, standards-based solutions on Intel technologies. As a Bronze Member, BSQUARE will have access to additional technical resources to benefit OEM customers choosing Intel technology for their Microsoft(R) Windows(R) Embedded devices.
To qualify for promotion from General Member to Bronze Level status, BSQUARE passed a rigorous review of its engineering service design wins, including its contribution to the power and audio management design of the new Intel(R) PXA270 Processor-based Palm(R) Treo(TM) 700w smartphone from Palm, Inc., the first Treo smartphone to run the Microsoft Windows Mobile operating system. The company's consulting for customers adopting Intel(R) Network Processors and its expertise in Board Support Package (BSP) development for Intel(R) I/O Processors were also factors. Finally, the promotion was based on BSQUARE's commitment to its DevkitIDP product line, development platforms for Intel(R) PXA255 and Intel(R) PXA270 Processors and SchemaBSP, a Board Support Package (BSP) development tool.
"As a Bronze Member of the Intel(R) Communications Alliance, BSQUARE will have new opportunities to work with Intel for mutual success through executive, architectural, marketing and joint selling relationships," said Brian Crowley, president and CEO, BSQUARE. "This new status will benefit our customers as we deliver enhanced services and products that are more closely aligned with Intel."
