VitalStream Launches Content Delivery Service for Audio and Video; Completes Core Product Suite to Ensure Quality and Performance

Posted on: Monday, 13 March 2006, 09:00 CST

VitalStream, Inc. (OTCBB: VSTH), the world leader in audio and video streaming, today announced its Content Delivery Service (CDS) for managing, delivering and tracking online content.

VitalStream CDS ensures reliability and speed while reducing bandwidth and infrastructure requirements. It turns the Internet into a cost-effective distribution channel by expanding Web site capacity and charging only for the storage and processing required to meet demand.

Advanced business intelligence tools turn raw data into actionable information, allowing swift, critical business decisions. Historical and real-time reporting provides valuable insight into network conditions and usage reports. Authentication tools allow for maximum control, letting only authorized users access content. The high-performance delivery of all critical content, including HTML, graphics, media files, software and podcasts ensures an improved user experience.

VitalStream's other core products include its Streaming Services for Flash and Windows Media. The CDS completes the company's product suite, giving creative professionals innovative tools and a reliable platform to market and deliver music and film to a quickly-growing online audience. Key features of the CDS include:

-- Central storage - provides high availability for all types of content and applications

-- Content delivery caching - ensures only 'fresh' material is streamed by storing and delivering it from access points closest to an end user's geographic location

-- Global load balancing - distributes user requests on network loads, serving users from multiple data centers over the most efficient network path

-- Network monitoring - a fully-staffed operating center provides 24-hour monitoring of network and server availability, security, performance, reporting and quality assurance

"As a streaming media pioneer, we are dedicated to providing our customers with full-service audio and video Web solutions," said Jack Waterman, CEO. "Our network was built for massive-capacity streaming, enabling fast, secure content delivery to global audiences without limitations on carrier bandwidth. We created our scalable CDS to meet the increasingly-unique needs of our customers, reliably and cost effectively."

"The creation of VitalStream CDS reinforces the company's purpose of creating products that enhance the online business solutions of its customers," said Scott Bahneman, CEO of MusicGiants. "Without the scalable, powerful content delivery backed by VitalStream's network, MusicGiants wouldn't be able to deliver digital music files to our customers with our unique, hi-fi service."

VitalStream will showcase VitalStream CDS at the South by Southwest Festivals and Conferences (SXSW) in Austin, TX, March 10-19, 2006. Please visit booths # O11 and O12, or contact vs@lewispr.com for more information.
