Ensim Unveils VoIP Support in Unify Service Delivery Platform
Posted on: Tuesday, 14 March 2006, 09:00 CST
Ensim Corporation, the leading supplier of service enablement and automation software for hosted IP and application services, today announced it has integrated VoIP support into its service delivery platform, Ensim Unify. The company will demonstrate this new support for leading VoIP applications and components from BroadSoft, Sylantro and Microsoft at the Spring VON Conference and Expo, March 14-17 in San Jose, California.
"The service provider business models of the past, driven by one dominant service, have fundamentally changed. Today, capturing and retaining customers is all about convergence and time to market with new services," said William Stofega, a senior analyst for VoIP services at IDC. "Margins and profits are driven by delivering many services to a given customer and doing so requires a robust service delivery platform like Ensim Unify, built from the ground up to support multiple services."
Ensim Unify is the industry's first widely deployed and proven service delivery platform, enabling service providers to centrally create, control and deliver hosted IP and application services. Based on a carrier-grade architecture and developed in close collaboration with Microsoft, Ensim Unify is specifically designed to address the most critical business and operational challenges of deploying and reselling hosted services.
"There is no question that VoIP is hot, but what makes it compelling is the ability for service providers to quickly bundle and combine VoIP with additional applications and services," said Sandip Gupta, President and CEO of Ensim. "Feedback from our Unify customers with our acquisition of TeleGea was clear -- they wanted a common service delivery platform for all of their hosted IP and application services, and that is what we are announcing today and showcasing this week at VON."
Ensim Unify comes pre-packaged with over fifteen IP and application service managers. With the addition of VoIP support, carriers can now rapidly deliver, bundle and differentiate revenue-generating hosted services at lower cost with unmatched reliability, flexibility and speed.
Also at the show, Ensim will be announcing a new partnership with Level 3 Communications (www.level3.com). Ensim will be demonstrating Ensim Unify in Level3's partner booth #217 and will discuss the benefits of their joint partnership to simplify Local Number Portability and E.911 services.
