Arroyo Video Solutions, Inc., creator of innovative video networking software that powers the delivery of personalized television, today announced it will feature its next generation IPTV networked video solution in IBM's booth #649 at the USTelecom Association's TelecomNEXT Conference & Expo at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, March 21-22.
In addition, Arroyo executives have been selected to participate at the TelecomNEXT conference. Arroyo's president and CEO Rick DeGabrielle will present a paper entitled "Network Architecture for Personalized Entertainment" on Wednesday, March 22, 3:40-4:00p.m. On Sunday, March 19, 10:00-11:40a.m., Arroyo's vice president of technology Dr. John Pickens will moderate a panel entitled "Fixed/Mobile Convergence."
On the TelecomNEXT exhibit floor in IBM's booth Arroyo will demonstrate its next generation IPTV networked video software solution, Arroyo OnDemand. Operating on IBM's eServer hardware, Arroyo OnDemand powers the delivery of new and emerging personalized television services, including networked VOD (video on demand), nPVR (network personal video recorder) and time shifted television. Arroyo will also show its networked VOD software integrated in an end-to-end solution with IPTV middleware, enabling back-office functions such as transaction processing, billing and data collection. This integrated solution is currently being trialed with a major telecommunications operator in the U.S.
"Telco service providers have blueprinted a 'network' approach to video that envisions two or three 'super headend' sites for all video capture, and leverages the national transmission architecture used for voice and data service offerings to also deliver video services to subscribers," said Arroyo's president and CEO Rick DeGabrielle. "Arroyo OnDemand's networked approach to video is ideal for this type of architecture, as it allows our customers to aggregate multiple servers into a solution that delivers unlimited network scalability and is easy to manage and operate, because they act as one. With Arroyo OnDemand, operators can finally deliver the next generation of advanced personalized TV services reliably, efficiently and cost-effectively."
Arroyo OnDemand is based on the company's innovative video networking software that harnesses Internet-proven techniques for data and voice delivery to power the next generation of personalized television. Arroyo OnDemand's networked architecture provides the intelligence that allows multiple industry-standard servers to operate as one, delivering critical benefits over competing standalone video delivery solutions. These benefits include unmatched flexibility; effortless scalability of streams, content and ingest; and unrivaled resiliency that delivers non-stop 24x7 system availability. Arroyo OnDemand's breakthrough performance includes the industry's first 10 Gigabit Ethernet support, unparalleled streaming density, and unlimited numbers of streams, ingest channels and hours of storage. Using Arroyo OnDemand, operators can deliver more revenue-generating services faster, enhance customer satisfaction, and achieve the lowest total cost of ownership in the industry.
