Liberia's Former Interim Government Left Country in "Financial Disarray"

The Economic Governance Steering Committee says the former Transitional Government left Liberia with a new domestic debt of 20m US dollars.
The Economic Governance Steering Committee is responsible to ensure the implementation of the Governance and Economic Management Action Programme, GEMAP.
The steering committee said the former Gyude Bryant-led transitional government left the country in what it called a state of financial disarray.
According to the committee, the Ministry of Finance is developing a revise budget for the remaining year.
The committee however, said spending would be seriously constrained until the current government can increase its revenue
