About Network World's 2006 Best of the Tests Awards
The 2006 "Best of the Tests" Awards were bestowed by Network World upon a select few products in enterprise networking categories that registered the top performance spots in its hands-on testing program during 2005 -- the best of the best. In all, Network World tested and reported on hundreds of enterprise products in that time frame, selecting 10 winners across 10 categories.
Network World is the premier source of objective, authoritative reviews in the Network IT market, producing articles featuring both single-product and comparative product tests on a weekly basis. The publication taps into its 13-member Network World Lab Alliance, a group of highly qualified industry experts, network integrators and universities, to set methodology, conduct testing and produce the articles. Year-long testing culminates with the Best of the Tests Awards. These products are profiled in the annual Signature Series Best Products edition in February. The Best Products Issue is highlighted in a special section on the Network World Web site at www.networkworld.com/best/2006/.
