Delta Student Crowned New Miss San Joaquin

Mar. 16–STOCKTON – San Joaquin Delta College student Noelle Hallberg of Stockton was crowned Miss San Joaquin County at the annual pageant held Saturday at University of the Pacific’s Faye Spanos Hall.

Ten competitors were judged in private interviews, a talent segment, a swimsuit competition, on-stage questioning and a casual-wear competition.

Other winners were:

» First runner-up: California State University, Sacramento, student Melissa Greiner of Tracy.

» Second runner-up: Tokay High School student Kate Casey of Lodi.

» Third runner-up: Delta College student Christiana Clark of Elk Grove.

» Fourth runner-up: University of the Pacific graduate Jennifer Murphy of Stockton, a Record staff writer.

The other contestants were San Jose State University student Lanie Castro of Tracy; University of California, Irvine, student Coreena Coleman of Lodi; Delta College student Aimee Keys of Stockton; Delta College student Kristen Petersen of Manteca; and Delta College student Stephanie Ruiz of Tracy.

Each contestant earned scholarship money. Hallberg won $3,500.

The first, second, third and fourth runners-up earned $1,100, $900, $700 and $500, respectively.

The other contestants were awarded $300 each.
