INTEL DEVELOPER FORUM -- Appro (www.appro.com), a leading developer of high-density, high-performance servers, announced today availability and product demonstrations of its new 1U and HyperBlade Server Cluster based on dual Intel(R) Itanium(R) 2 processors at Intel Developer Forum, San Francisco Moscone Convention Center, Feb.17 - 19, 2004.
Appro HyperBlade Itanium 2 processor-based Cluster
The Appro HyperBlade fully integrated cluster solution is a smart investment for flexible, modular and scalable clustering architecture. It provides outstanding performance and reliability for a broad range of enterprise and technical computing applications. Appro HyperBlade offers support for up to 17 compute nodes for the Mini-Cluster cabinet and up to 80 compute nodes for the Full-Size Cluster cabinet. By combining innovative engineering design and the latest in Intel Itanium 2 processor technology, Appro delivers supercomputing performance at an excellent price-performance ratio. Appro also offers a Cluster Management Solution, High-Speed Interconnect options and a choice of Linux or Windows operating systems. Key features include dual Itanium 2 processors, 64-bit computing, supports up to 16GB of memory, up to two internal hard drives and one 64bit PCI-X slot per compute node. It offers front-to-rear cooling design and integrated ejectors.
